privacy policy

spot is an early product run by one person (Conner, under Lucence Labs). this is the plain-language version of what actually happens to your data right now - written to be true, not to sound bigger than it is. if something changes, this page changes with it.

what spot collects

only what you tell it in the conversation:

• your name / what you want to be called
• your goal (lose fat, build muscle, maintain) and your targets (calories, protein)
• your training split and training days/times
• food you log (text or photos)
• workouts you log, and any proof photos you send
• bodyweight when you share it
• how you talk to it, so it can match your style

it does not connect to Apple Health, your watch, your bank, your contacts, or any other app. there's no background tracking. if spot doesn't know something, it's because you didn't tell it.

how spot uses it

• to remember your plan, targets, and progress so it can actually coach you
• to send you proactive nudges (eat lean before dinner, you missed leg day, etc.)
• while spot is early, Conner reviews how people use it to make it better - what's working, what's confusing, where it gives bad advice

that last point is the honest part most apps hide: a human (the founder) does look at real usage during this early phase. that's how the product gets fixed. it is not automated-only.

what spot does not do

• does not sell your data. ever.
• does not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own use.
• does not post anything publicly or tie your data to your real identity anywhere.
• does not claim “no human ever sees this” - that would be a lie while it's early.

who can see your data

• you
• Conner (founder), to improve the product
• the AI model provider (Anthropic) processes your messages to generate replies - standard for any AI product. their API does not train on this data.

that's the whole list.

storage

your data is stored as files on a private machine Conner controls. it's not on a public server or a shared cloud drive. as spot grows it'll move to a proper database with the same privacy rules.

deleting your data / turning it off

• text “chill” and spot backs off the proactive nudges.
• text “stop” and spot goes quiet entirely.
• ask to delete your data and Conner wipes it. no hoops.

changes

spot is early and this will tighten up as it grows (real data-protection language, retention windows, etc.). if anything material changes about how data is used, you'll be told - not buried in an update.
